One of the most famous shopping roads in London is Oxford Street, also know as part of the A40, the road starts at Marble Arch and runs down by way of New Oxford Street to Theobalds Road, which is a continuation of the A40. Dotted along Oxford start there is four tube stations and the reason it is called Oxford Street is because it was the original road which run from London to Oxford. Regent Street crosses over Oxford Street about halfway and runs down to Piccadilly.
